Where can I buy materials?

  • Community members can purchase materials such as First Aid kits through the Red Cross.
  • Instructor materials such as mannequins and books can be purchased through Staywell Products and Work'n Leisure

How long does my certification last?

  • Adult CPR and Infant/Child CPR certification lasts for 1 year.
  • First Aid certification lasts for 3 years.
  • Instructor certification lasts until December 31st of the 2nd year. For example, if you took a class on July 1, 2008, your certification will last until December 31, 2009.

How do I renew my certification?

There are two ways to renew your certification. You can either re-take the class, or you can take an instructor challenge. The challenge will test your knowledge of the skills learned during a class and are available based on the instructor's availability. Call 1-800-ARC-MONT to schedule an instructor challenge.  

 

How much do First Aid/CPR classes cost?

  • 1 component (First Aid, Adult CPR, Infant/Child CPR) is $40.
  • 2 components are $55.
  • 3 components are $70.

How much is the Instructor class?

The Instructor course is $300, which includes the instructor book, lay person books, student certificates, instructor certificate, and the video.

How do I get a new card if I lost my old one?

We can print you a new card for a processing fee of $5. To reprint the card, you can email us the following information:

  • Your first and last name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Course taken and course date (if possible)

How much is it to rent mannequins, lungs, DVD, AED, etc?

$8 per person. Please give at least ten days advance notice if you need to rent materials. Call 1-800-ARC-MONT for more information.
