Mission Statement
The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. 

 

Service to the Armed Forces

   



The American Red Cross is proud to provide the following services for the United States Armed Forces:

  • Emergency communication messages.
  • Casualty assistance and transportation financial assistance.
  • Access to emergency financial assistance.
  • Support to military families as a partner of the Department of Defense Joint Family Support Assistance Program (JFSAP).
  • Volunteer services in military and veterans hospitals and clinics.
  • Additional information and referral to partnering organizations.

To request assistance from the American Red Cross call 1-800-ARC-MONT or 1-800-696-3873 and ask to speak to a military caseworker. Make sure you have the following information available:

  • Rank
  • Social Security Number
  • Date of birth
  • Branch of service
  • Military phone number
  • Military address (city, base and zip or APO)
